Small-group personal training or a fitness class?
At Ascend, an individual programme in a small group is different from a coached class using a shared workout.
Compare the plan as well as the group size
In small-group personal training, each person follows their own programme. In a coached fitness session, the group follows a shared workout with movements and intensity adapted to participants. Neither description tells you which you should choose without considering what you want. If you want help following a personal plan, ask about small-group coaching. If you enjoy a shared session, ask about the current classes and their format.
A practical checklist
- Ask whether the session uses an individual or shared programme.
- Explain what you like about training with other people.
- Check how a coach helps someone unfamiliar with a movement.
- Compare session times with your normal week.
Put it into practice
When enquiring, describe the experience you want rather than trying to select a label immediately. The team can explain the options and how an introduction works. Confirm availability on the live timetable rather than assuming every format runs every day.
