What changes when gym software serves two locations?
Check memberships, timetables and staff access before adding another gym location to one system.
Shared membership does not mean shared everything
A second location introduces new boundaries. Members may be allowed to book across sites while staff access, class capacity and reporting remain location-specific. Decide what a home location means and whether different membership products carry different access. A location filter should be easy for members to notice; otherwise they can book the right class at the wrong address.
A practical checklist
- Check addresses and travel information on every booking confirmation.
- Test cross-location eligibility with different membership types.
- Confirm staff permissions at each location.
- Compare site-level reporting with organisation-wide totals.
Put it into practice
Use two fictional locations in the demo. Move a session, change its coach and inspect the member view. A provider should be able to explain which settings belong to the organisation and which belong to an individual location.
