What to discuss at a training programme review
Bring practical feedback to your coach so a review covers how the programme is working in your real week.
Useful feedback is specific
Tell the coach which sessions you completed, which instructions were unclear and what you found difficult to fit around other commitments. A review is not only a chance to change exercises; it is a chance to make sure you understand the plan. If your circumstances have changed, say so. Do not judge the whole programme from a single unusually good or difficult day, and do not feel you need to hide missed sessions.
A practical checklist
- Bring questions from recent sessions.
- Explain changes in your availability.
- Distinguish unclear instructions from exercises you simply dislike.
- Confirm the next steps before leaving the conversation.
Put it into practice
Keep a brief note after a session if something needs discussion. Two concrete examples are often more useful than trying to remember everything weeks later. Ask Ascend how and when reviews fit into your particular coaching arrangement.
