A simple note to bring to your gym introduction
A short note about your goals, availability and questions can make an introductory conversation more useful.
Prepare the information that affects the next step
You do not need a long history or a technical training plan. Write down why you are interested, what you currently do and when you can attend. Add any questions you tend to forget during a conversation. Keep sensitive details for an appropriate private discussion. The note is a prompt for you, not an application you need to get right before being allowed into the gym.
A practical checklist
- Write one main reason for enquiring.
- List realistic days and times.
- Note previous experiences you want the coach to understand.
- Finish with the two or three questions you most want answered.
Put it into practice
After the introduction, add the agreed next step to the same note. That helps you remember what was actually discussed rather than relying on a vague impression. If something remains unclear, contact the team before the next appointment.
