Questions to ask about gym software support
Find out how support works before a booking or payment issue reaches your busiest session.
Ask about the response, not just the channel
A support email address does not tell you how a serious problem is handled. Describe a specific incident and ask how it would be reported, prioritised and tracked. Separate a service outage from a question about configuration. Ask what information staff should provide without copying sensitive member data into a message. Useful support arrangements make responsibility clear, including who can authorise account changes.
A practical checklist
- Check support hours and available channels.
- Ask how urgent service failures are communicated.
- Confirm whether onboarding and staff training are included.
- Find out how an unresolved issue is escalated.
Put it into practice
Save the agreed contact route in the staff handbook, alongside the information needed for a useful report: affected task, time, device and an anonymised screenshot. Avoid relying on a single owner's personal messages to keep the whole gym running.
